Inspiring Science Education for Girls Using ICT – Upcoming Workshops

The Inspiring Science Education for Girls Using ICT project is arranging three workshops during the upcoming Dec 2007 -Jan 2008 holidays.

The Inspiring Science Education for Girls Using ICT project is  implemented by SchoolNet Uganda in partnership with Digital Links International (UK), Barclays Bank and Ministry of Education and Sports Uganda.

The three upcoming workshops are:

  1. A 5-day student Science & ICT holiday camp targeting 3 A’ level girls taking sciences + 1 female science teacher from those project schools that did not participate in the May 2007 camp.
  2. A 5-day Technical Training Workshop targeting 1 teacher +1 student from each of the 15 project schools.
  3. A 5-day ICT in Education Workshop for Head teachers of the 25 schools (including the 15 project schools).

Invitations and detailed programmes will be sent out soon by end of Nov 2007.

The Inspiring Science Education for Girls Using ICT project schools that would like to participate in any of the upcoming workshops should send in their expression of interest as soon as possible.
