SchoolNet Uganda Activities

Helping schools to enhance the teaching and learning process using Information Communication Technology (ICT) through provision of affordable computers, ICT for Education advise and sensitization, technical capacity building and support, teacher pedagogical professional development and support, local education content development, school networking and school international linkages for project-based learning

Interactive Digital Educational Software now available at SchoolNet Uganda

SchoolNet Uganda has partnered with Learnthings (www.learnthings.co.za ), a South Africa based education content development factory to provide schools, students and parents with affordable interactive subject-based educational content.

Most of us (schools and individual teachers and parents) have invested in buying computers however computers are just tools and we cannot and will not get returns on investment unless we use them to improve the educational outcomes of both our students at school (for the school computers) and our children at home (for the personal computers).

The only sure way of achieving returns on investment is to put educational software on the computers we have acquired which is interactive, related to our curriculum and which supports child-centred learning. Such educational software in more available at the SchoolNet Uganda offices at Embassy House, Floor 2, Room 2.13 , Ministry of Education and Sports Building, Parliamentary Avenue, Kampala.

Thanks to the partnership between SchoolNet Uganda and Learnthings. Now available are CDs for Primary Maths, Primary Science, Secondary Maths and Secondary Science.
