The World Starts With Me (WSWM-Uganda) to expand to 100 schools in 2008
The World Starts With Me is a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Program currently implemented in 70 schools across the country by SchoolNet Uganda in partnership with World Population Foundation (Netherlands). The WSWM-Uganda started in 2003 with 3 schools, expanded to 10 schools in 2004, 30 schools in 2005, 50 schools in 2006, 70 schools in over 25 districts across the country in 2007. The WSWM-Uganda is to expand in 100 schools in 2008.
More information about the WSWM-Uganda can be obtained from the WSWM brochure which can be downloaded using the link below
Invitations are invited from schools which are interested in joining The WSWM-Uganda in 2008. The application letter should be on the school letterhead, should mention some of the adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues and challenges , the school is currently facing and how they think WSWM will help them address these challenges and reasons why the school thinks it qualifies to join the program.
Unfortunately, due to limited resources only 30 new schools will be selected for the WSWM project cycle 2008. School selection will depend on the SRHR issues and challenges the school is facing and how the school WSWM will help.
Application forms should be addressed to:
WSWM-Uganda Project Officer
SchoolNet Uganda
Embassy House, Floor 2, Rm 2.13
Parliamentary Avenue, Kampala Uganda.
The application can be sent by Speed Post, dropped directly at SchoolNet Office or scanned and emailed to secretariat@schoolnetuganda.sc.ug
