It was a cold Thursday morning at around 2 am when Mum woke me up for the first part of my journey. As every mum would do, she called me to give some piece of important advice of which included being disciplined as always, respect, activeness and confidence.

Although I was very nervous and scared of disappointing others, my devotion for my school and for the people in need of the information gave me courage to go to the workshop.

I had expected to be battling with people from different places at the workshop so as to achieve but on arrival it was a different issue. It was more of sharing than a competition.

Little did I know that there was reading and revising on Internet. I carried some important notes of Agriculture, Biology, Physics, Math and Chemistry.

Though it was my first time in Kampala, it was a good rest of mind because I would be shooting two birds with one stone like acquiring skills in reproductive health, revising and resting.

Some the activities interrupted my schedule for this holiday like sleeping at 8:30 pm was extended to sleeping at 10:30 pm.

Many productive activities took place up to date among others goggling, exhibition, making home-made sanitary pads, composition writing, devil’s advocate and many others. Some may seem to be girlish things but bare me witness they are critical and essential so everyone got a chance of doing it.

This program also contributed a lot in that my punctuality was boosted and keeping to task which will not stop into theory but in practice as well. This will help me as I go back for my third term in first year in secondary.

My future is in my hands and I am doing my best to make a productive step towards my goals.

Believe your destiny begins as you try to reach it and it is always very fair and honest as a mirror all you have got to do is to take any chance given opportunity because it never knocks twice.
