I am Nankya Christine. I represented my school, Entebbe Secondary School at the National WSWM Student Peer Educator Workshop which was held 16th -20th May 2011 at Gayaza High School.

The workshop impacted on me in a number of ways:

  • •  I learnt what how menstruation and pregnancy occurs.
  • •  I learnt how to produce an educational skit. I can do the webbing and from the webbing, I can produce both the skit story and the script. I am able to teach people how to produce an educative skit from the beginning to the end.
  • •  I acquired team work skills, communication skills and how to present myself to an audience either for acting a skit or making a talk or a speech with comfort and confidence. I can educate my peer about public speaking.
  • •  I learnt the Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) challenges faced by young people and possible solutions to these challenges. I can create a safe atmosphere for the young people to openly talk about their challenges.
  • •  I now have a better attitude towards work, team work and helping others in need. I have improved respect for other people, their ideas and opinions and empathy for others.
  • •  I can now use the Internet better for communication and research.
