Dear Counselor, what can you do if you have fallen in love with a friend and the friend asks you for sex? How can you control it?

Falling in love is normal and ok when it happens. What matters is how you handle your feelings. Do not be coerced into sex when you are not ready.  Do not go into sex simply because your friend sks you for sex.  Look at the consequences of early sex and what effect it will have on your studies  and make an informed decision. Love does not equal to sex. A true lover will always wait.  Abstain and carry out safe sex practices and you will enjoy your relationship.

You should appreciate that love and sex are normal feelings. Take off time with your friend to discuss the effects of sex, reflect on the negative consequences of early sex and allow yourselves time to concentrate on your career goals and ambitions. Make it clear to your friend that at a latter time, when the two of you are more empowered to handle sex responsibly you will be able to enjoy it. If he truely loves you, he will wait or else if you give in early he may missuse you and later damp you so you will leave to regret.
