WSWM Teachers' Workshops Reports

The WSWM Teachers' Workshops involve teachers who are implimenting the WSWM program at school level and fall under four categories: Category 1: New WSWM Teacher Training Workshops: These are 6-day workshops. When new schools are recruited into the WSWM program, two teachers preferably a male and a female are selected by the school to be trained as WSWM teachers. The two teachers are trained for six days in both the content and the methodology of the WSWM curriculum and are response for implementing the WSWM at school level. Category 2: WSWM Teachers' Refresher Workshops: The Refresher workshops are 4-day workshops meant for WSWM teachers who have been implementing the WSWM program and want to update their knowledge and methodology Category 3: Kick-off Workshops: Kick-off workshops are 2-day workshops conducted at the beginning of the year making the kick-off of the new project cycle. One WSWM teacher is invited from each of the participating schools to come together as a WSWM family. Activities involve sharing of the challenges and achievements of the previous year, suggestions for the new year and inspirational talks from WSWM family members. Category 4: WSWM Teachers Mid-term Review Workshop: One WSWM teacher is invited to the mid-term review workshop to share the progress made in the WSWM implementation at both the school and national level with a view of taking corrective action where necessary.
