HIV/AIDS

I went for HIV testing in 2008 and what forced me to go for testing is that I shared a razor blade with a friend of mine who was infected with HIV. When I went for testing, I found out that I was HIV positive. I talked to my parents about it who took me to hospital and ever since then I have been on ARVs and the person who counseled me told me that the kinds of relationships I should have shouldn’t be direct.

Having HIV doesn’t mean that it is the end of life as when you see me I am healthy. So girls be careful, don’t give in to anybody who looks healthy because some may be HIV positive and may infect you. For those of you who are HIV positive, take your drugs and stick to the doctor’s advice. For those who have not tested, I advise you to go for testing, so that you can know your status.
