I am Nandugga Scovia, a WSWM member at Bukomero Secondary School. When I joined the WSWM club, I learnt that pregnancy is for both boys and girls which has helped me a lot. Whenever I see a girl who is pregnant at an early age, it reminds me that I have to stay in school and abstain from sex and I also advise my young sisters and brothers plus my fellow students to stay in school.
I have learnt about friendships and love whereby I have learnt how to relate with my friends e.g. revising with the boys. Before I joined the WSWM, I used to fear boys but now I am a friend to the boys and I don’t fear asking them the questions that I don’t know.
From the WSWM, I have learnt about HIV/AIDS whereby in case I have any relative of mine suffering from AIDS, I know how to take care of him or her and not run away from him or her. I have learnt that I should advise the HIV infected persons to take their medicine and I always advise my fellow students not to discriminate against the HIV infected persons but also take care of them.
Not only do I keep on encouraging my fellow students to join the club but I also teach them what we learn from the WSWM meetings.
