Teenage Pregnancy – is a skit on teenage pregnancy produced by WSWM Alumni student peer educators. It not intended to pass on information but rather to trigger off a discussion on teenage pregnancy.
Students should be asked post-view probing questions. Below are some of the possible probing questions:
- 1. What were Jane’s arguments against abortion? Do you agree with her arguments?
- 2. Jane argued against abortion and instead opted for suicide. Was that the right decision?
What other options could Jane have opted for? What are the pros and cons for these other options? - 3. Do you think Tracy was a good friend of Jane? What are the reasons for your answer?
- 4. What would you have done if you were in Jane’s situation (shoes)?
- 5. Do you think Andrew reacted responsibly when Jane told him that he had made her pregnant?
- 6. Why do you think Andrew reacted the way he did. How different would you have reacted if you were in Andrew’s position (shoes)?
- 7. How would you react if your girlfriend told you she was pregnant but you are not responsible for the pregnancy?
- 8. What are the Sexual Reproductive Heath and Rights issues depicted in the video clip?
- 9. What are the common causes of early pregnancy among students and what can the schools do to reduce incidents of pregnancy among students?
