Stefan Klopp – International Volunteer June-Dec 2004

I volunteered at SchoolNet Uganda between the months of June to December in 2002. During my time, with SchoolNet Uganda I helped to manage the development of their previous website, organized and taught in workshops on Linux Administration and Web Development and provided IT knowledge within the organization. I feel I contributed effectively to SchoolNet Uganda by helping to disseminate information throughout the organization and helped to create internal sustainability for when I left. I feel my experience with SchoolNet Uganda was very fulfilling for me both personally and professionally. Living abroad in Uganda helped give me a better understanding of the world we live in. In addition I was able to learn new skills in which I use daily in my workplace. I have nothing but good things to say about SchoolNet Uganda. They are a very knowledgeable group of individuals, who utilize their resources well, and provide a valuable service that is otherwise lacking in the current Uganda school system.”
