Oh! Little did I know the values of my parents before their
Departure from the planet Earth
Oh! My father, “Why did you choose to have a ‘kraal’ of Wives
And a multitude of siblings?”

Oh! Polygamous marriages are a blessing in disguise
My father succumbed to HIV/AIDs scourge siphoned from
Many ‘birds’ he sampled
Oh! My mother as well followed suit
My tears could ooze profusely down my cheeks

Oh! I was left under the care of a ‘white Devil’ step-mother
Eating food was miraculous
My ribs could be easily counted in a blink of an eye
As hopeless as I was, a missionary rushed me to the hospital
For medical therapy during my time of critical illness
But he poured cold water on the dark’s feathers

Oh! It seemingly sounded strange but true
He was bombarded with melancholic news of my untimely
Death initiated by my Step-mother who starved me!
